Buddy Myers was arrested in Midland, Tx., on Tuesday after allegedly firing a gun at a 19-year-old male who was trying to retrieve his Frisbee from Myers’ backyard.

The teen was reportedly playing disc golf at a nearby park when his Frisbee floated onto Myers' property (video below).

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the teen went to Myers' front door, but no one answered, so he looked into Myers' backyard. The teen was in Myers' back alley when the homeowner allegedly fired his pistol at the young man.

Someone in the neighborhood or friends of the teen called the police after hearing the gunfire.

When Midland police officers arrived, they reportedly found Myers barricaded inside his house with an elderly woman for almost an hour.

Myers eventually surrendered and was charged with aggravated assault.

"They weren't trying to go into the backyard to do any harm," Sara Higgins, of the Midland Police Department, told

"They were trying to retrieve their own property," added Higgins. "Again, we wouldn't advise to do that and take matters into your own hands. But, what they did did not warrant getting shot at."
