Dylan Beard, 17, says that he was lured to a skate park in Baytown, Texas, and beaten on Oct. 12.

"They lured me indirectly," Beard told KHOU (video below). "They had one of their friends, who I'm also friends with, tell me to come up there and they walked up and did it."

The teen claims a 17-year-old girl hit him and added, "Then two of her friends who are guys jumped in and they all started hitting me, got on the ground hit me and punched me."

According to the Houston Chronicle, Beard says his three attackers called him "f-------" and a "booty lover."

Beard's mother Jennifer told KHOU, "His face was swelled, his nose was broken, he bit through his tongue, his bottom teeth were chipped, his knees were scabbed everywhere."

The unidentified girl has been charged with assault, but the boys haven't been arrested yet.

"We are asking for the Department of Justice to step in and investigate this assault as a hate crime. It was planned to target him because he's gay," stated Quanell X, a local community activist.

Quanell X also claimed that the police have a "nonchalant" attitude about the crime.

The Baytown Police have asked witnesses to step forward and tell what they know.
