Two teen parents in New York were charged with forcing their 2-year-old child to smoke marijuana from a lit bowl, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

The Mayville couple, 17-year-old Jessica Kelsey and 18-year-old George Kelsey were arrested along with Kelsey’s 54-year-old father Don Baker.

The three are charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

The incident allegedly occurred on Dec. 5. All three adults were present and either helped, observed, or encouraged the 23-month-old to smoke from the bowl.

The three suspects are being held in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

The 2-year-old and one sibling are now under the care of Child Protective Services.
