| by Michael Allen

There have been reports that guns are a popular Christmas gift this year for women, which proved true for South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R).

The pro-gun Gov. Haley (R), who has shot a pistol, assault rifle and a machine gun in public (video below), added a Beretta PX4 Storm pistol to her arsenal this Christmas.

Gov. Haley tweeted today:

Our family had a wonderful Christmas together! I must have been good Santa gave me a Beretta PX4 Storm.

On Instagram, she uploaded a picture of the gun, which sells for $575. According to the Beretta website:

Heralded by many as the ultimate in balance, feel and proportion, the Compact is well suited for concealed carry yet perfectly at home in a duty holster. Its compact and controllable design accommodates plainclothes operations, home defense, or a day at the range. With a cold hammer forged barrel, for precision and the Px4 family’s rotary barrel system to reduce recoil for faster follow up shots, the Compact is fast and accurate.

Gov. Haley has a concealed weapons permit. The handgun was a gift from the governor's husband, reports the Associated Press.
