A son sent his mother horrifying text messages from inside Pulse nightclub, a gay club in Orlando, Florida, where at least 50 people were reportedly shot dead on June 12.

Photos of the texts, taken from the mother’s phone, show the son initially letting his mother know that he loved her.

“Mommy I love you,” the son wrote, Daily Mirror reported. “In club they shooting.”

The mother then asked what club he was in, to which he replied “Pulse” before telling her to “call police.”

The son then wrote, “I’m gonna die,” and soon after added, “He’s coming.”

The chilling texts came as the suspect, identified as Florida resident Omar Mateen, killed at least 50 in the popular club around 2 a.m. local time. There was reportedly a three-hour standoff, USA Today reported.

Mateen took at least 30 hostages inside the club, reports stated.
