South African skateboarder Decio Lourenco earned rave reviews from the internet when footage of him going nearly 70 miles per hour hit YouTube. As is usually the case, though, not everyone was impressed. Just as the 24-year-old began his ascent up the viral sensation mountain, Cape Town officials came out and admonished him for putting ‘other road users at risk.’
Lourenco was clocked going 68 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone.
Popular VideoPeople were so furious about this Pepsi ad that Pepsi pulled it after just one day. Watch it here and decide if it's offensive:
"All that was needed was for one of those motorists to panic and swerve into the oncoming traffic and you have a large number of deaths, as we have already had on that road,” said safety spokesman Jean-Pierre Smith.
There is no word yet on whether Lourenco actually will or won’t be arrested.
