Las Vegas police released surveillance footage of a road rage hit-and-run in order to identify the suspect who ran over an elderly man at a gas station earlier this month.
The video, filmed at an Arco gas station on West Flamingo Road on Feb. 6, shows a gray Honda Accord drive quickly up to a man in a red sweatshirt. When the man looks at the car, startled that he was nearly hit, the driver accelerates and runs him over and leaves the scene. The man rolls on the ground in agony, holding his leg.
The unidentified victim was taken to UMC Trauma Center.
He told police just before the incident he parked in the gas station lot and had to swerve to avoid a dark gray, 2010 or 2011 Honda Accord that suddenly pulled in front of him.
The driver was described as a white male in his 30s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
The car had a California license plate beginning with “6C.”
“We set up this video so folks would be able to … notify us if they could identify this person or vehicle,” Las Vegas police told FoxNews.com.
Anyone with information on the car or driver is asked to call the LVMPD Violent Crimes Section at (702) 828-5634 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
