The Family Research Council (FRC) has released the security video (below) of accused terrorist shooter Floyd Corkins being wrestled down by the FRC's building manager Leo Johnson on August 15. 2012 in Washington D.C.

Corkins entered the FRC's building armed with a semi-automatic pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition. After Corkins drew his gun, Johnson ran towards him. Corkins shot Johnson, who eventually wrestled down and disarmed him.

According to, Corkins admitted to the FBI that he went after the FRC because of its anti-gay positions and listing on the Southern Poverty Law Center's (SPLC) website (video below).

“Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups,” Corkins told the FBI. “I found them online, did a little research, went to the website, stuff like that.”

“The SPLC’s reckless labeling has led to devastating consequences,” claimed FRC President Tony Perkins. “Because of its hate group lists, a deadly terrorist had a guidemap to FRC and other organizations. Our staff is still reeling from the attack, and the chilling effect this could have on organizations that are simply fighting for their values is outrageous.”
