A Princeton City, Ohio, school bus driver has been fired after posting a selfie to Facebook which appears to show her drinking beer from a bottle, while sitting behind the wheel of a school bus.

Her employer, First Student Transportation, issued a statement to WCPO:

"We are incredibly disappointed by our driver's actions. Behavior such as this does not align with company policy and the high standards First Student strives for in all we do," Huffington Post reports.

The name of the bus driver has not been released and according to Fox28, an internal investigation discovered that the beer bottle was unopened, no students were present when the photo was taken, and the driver was off-duty.

Nevertheless, parents are livid. Sadie Leporati, mother of a student, said the bus driver “should absolutely get fired. It was very inappropriate and very poor judgment on her part," according to the Huffington Post.

In December 2014, a school bus driver for the Vermilion School District in Ohio was fired for falling asleep at the wheel. No students were injured when Gwendolyn Howell, a veteran of the district for 22 years, drifted off to sleep, the Sandusky Register reports.

A video camera installed on the bus allegedly catches Howell admitting that she has fallen asleep at the wheel more than one time. School officials struggled with the decision to fire Howell but ultimately decided that “due to the seriousness of the situation, we believe it was in the best interest of our district to move forward with the termination,” Vermilion Schools superintendent Phil Pempin said.

In January, a school bus driver for the Indian River County School District in Florida was fired when a video of her texting and driving surfaced.

The video shows Viola Rhyant pick up her cell phone, turn it on and read text messages. While driving the school bus, she continually looks at the road and then looks down at her phone. Rhyant is seen taking her hands completely off the wheel in order to type a text message, according to WND
