An unidentified man, who was dressed as Santa Claus, allegedly shot two men at a Detroit gas station on Sunday.

Fortunately, the victims did survive the gunshot wounds, but one is in critical condition.

Two off-duty officers chased the Santa who was turned over to an on-duty officer.

“An individual who was dressed as Santa and two other individuals got into some kind of confrontation,” Detroit Police Officer Adam Madera told CBS Detroit. “Two of the individuals went to their vehicle, they believe that Santa felt maybe that they were going to get a weapon. He then shot these individuals.”

Meanwhile in Riverdale, New Jersey, a man dressed as one of Santa's elves was found passed out in his car last Friday morning in a Target store parking lot.

A police officer answered a call and found the elf inside a car that was running with its lights on and music loudly playing.

Brian Chellis, who was wearing an "Elf on the Shelf" costume, was found asleep behind the wheel, noted

After some taking field sobriety tests, Chellis was driven to a local police station for a breath test.

Chellis was cited for several offenses, including DWI, careless driving and possession of an open container of alcohol inside a vehicle.
