Romayne Davis, a disc jockey who replaced music on a local classical station with rap music, has been charged by police in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

After pirating the airwaves of WKCP Classical South Florida’s 89.7 FM, Davis turned himself in, reports the Miami Herald.

Davis has been charged with unauthorized transmission/interference with a public radio station.

After receiving complaints, Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives searched a warehouse and found the radio equipment that Davis used to broadcast his signal on 89.5 FM since March 2012.

Davis, who DJ’s for Joker Boy Entertainment, played songs by rappers R. Kelly and T-Pain. Davis was released from jail on bond.
