Report: Police Officer Working ‘Ferguson Detail’ Shot

A police officer has reportedly been shot near Ferguson, Missouri.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a University City police officer was shot by an unidentified assailant. The severity of the officer’s injuries is unknown at this time. The officer is reportedly en route to the hospital right now.

According to Chuck Goudie of ABC 7 Chicago, the officer in question was working the “Ferguson detail.”

We are being told the University City police officer shot was wounded in #Ferguson. He's been taken to the hospital. Condition unknown.
