Report: Michael Brown Nearly Beat Cop Unconscious Before Cop Fired Fatal Shots

| by Lina Batarags

A source close to the Ferguson Police Department has told Fox News that moments before Officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown, Wilson had suffered severe facial injuries and had nearly been beaten unconscious by Brown.

Wilson’s alleged injuries include an orbital (eye socket) fracture.

The source stated that the “The Assistant (Police) Chief took [Wilson] to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side. He was beaten very severely.”

As Fox News reports, Wilson was coming off another case when he ordered Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road; the confrontation escalated into physical violence.

The source indicated that when Wilson started getting out of his car to approach Brown and Johnson, they shoved him back into the car. That’s “when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and face,” the source said.

The source also claims that there is “solid proof” that a struggle ensued between Brown and Wilson for the officer’s firearm, which caused the gun to go off.

Brown then allegedly began walking away, at which point Wilson drew his gun and ordered him to freeze. The 18-year-old allegedly turned around with his hands in the air, said, “What, you’re going to shoot me?” and proceeded to charge at Wilson.

The source said that Wilson then fired at least six shots at Brown, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown’s skull.

Wilson emerged from the confrontation with a fractured eye socket, and, as the source reports, is now “traumatized, scared for his life and his family.”

The source noted that the dashboard and body cameras have been ordered by Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, but had only recently arrived and had not yet been deployed.

Wilson has been on the Ferguson police force department for six years and has no prior disciplinary infringements.

Riots have erupted in Ferguson in the wake of Brown’s death, which is now being investigated by the federal government.

On Friday, Ferguson police revealed surveillance video footage of Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store shortly before his death.
