The Penn State scandal just keeps getting worse -- Jerry Sandusky may have sexually abused a member of his own family.

On Tuesday it was reported that two new cases of abuse are being investigated. Now Sandusky's attorney confirms that one of these new accusations comes from a member of Sandusky's family.

The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports:

Attorney Joe Amendola said the allegations stem from difficulties within the child's immediate family. He said the assault is alleged to have occurred prior to Sandusky's arrest earlier this month, but was not brought to the authorities attention until after the former Penn State coach was charged.

The newspaper did not reveal the relationship between the boy and Sandusky in order to protect his identity.

Sandusky is already charged with 40 counts of abusing eight boys.
