Redmond O'Neal, the troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett, was today taken into custody today and had his probation revoked by LA Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz.
It came after Redmond admitted using methamphetamine at a live-in drug rehabilitation facility.
His lawyer Richard Pintal stated:"'Redmond accepts 100 percent responsibility for his misstep and will accept whatever consequences the court imposes. He remains cautiously optimistic that a solution will be framed for his long-term treatment."
Last month, Redmond plead no contest to two felony counts, including heroin and firearms possession. He was placed on probation for five years, sentenced to a 12-month stay at a live-in drug facility and had a three-year state prison sentence suspended as long as he did not violate the court's terms.
However, Los Angeles County prosecutors said Redmond called someone from a pay phone on Sunday and had drugs brought to him at the facility. Redmond returns to court on October 7 for sentencing in connection with the probation violation.
His father Ryan O'Neal said: "He never recovered from the loss of his mother. That's the part that hurts the most. He doesn't know how to resolve it for himself so he gets in trouble. He's an addict, addicts use unfortunately, and they just keep using until they want to stop. We're praying for him every day. We want him to live a good life and not have drugs in his life."
Redmond has battled addiction since his teens, and has constantly been in trouble with the law due to crimes related to his substance abuse.
