Pregnant Woman In Labor Robbed At Gunpoint, Police Say

Maryland police arrested and charged two men Sunday for allegedly robbing a pregnant woman in labor at gunpoint.

Devery Kelley, 24, and Cornell Robinson, 44, allegedly robbed the woman and her male companion around 4:30 a.m., according to the Annapolis Police Department.

The suspects fled the scene in stolen car, but later abandoned the vehicle and were captured by police. Investigators recovered a handgun the men allegedly threw from the vehicle.

The woman was said to be in labor before the robbery and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Kelley and Robinson are being held at the Annapolis Police Department ahead of their initial hearing at the District Court Commissioner.
