A pregnant 17-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with murder after her flight attendant mother was found stabbed to death in Indiana on July 3.

Alyssa Barrett was arrested just days after her 18-year-old boyfriend Damarus Wren, who is being charged with first-degree murder after the body of United Airlines flight attendant DeCarol Deloney-Cain was found stuffed in the trunk of her car, reports the Daily News.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by the Chicago Sun Times, Wren confessed that he killed his girlfriend’s mother because she wanted Barrett to get an abortion.

He also told police that the teen often spoke about “robbing and/or killing her mother.”

The young couple reportedly planned to murder the woman around the time she got paid so that they could withdraw money from her account.

Wren allegedly covered Deloney-Cain’s head with a pillowcase and smashed it against the staircase before stabbing her to death, reports the Daily Mail. The mother of three was then stuffed into the trunk of her car and left on a dirt road, according to police. Before abandoning the body, the teens reportedly withdrew money from the woman’s bank account.

Traces of the victim’s blood and red duct tape used to bound her hands and feet were found in the home she shared with Barrett. Police also discovered a GPS tracking device, which they say showed directions to where the mother’s body was hidden.

Both teens are being held without bond.
