Robert Mitchell, 17, has been arrested for the death of 32-year-old Zemir Begic.

According to USA Today, Mitchell and three of his associates allegedly approached Begic’s car and began to damage it with hammers. When the 32-year-old got out of his vehicle to confront the teens, they reportedly turned their attention to him.

St. Louis police say that Begic was violently assaulted in front of his wife, who saw her husband’s killing unfold right before her very eyes.

"The last thing he did before he actually died was pull me out of the way and put himself in front of me, basically giving up his life for me," Arijana Mujkanovic told CNN.

Three people are now in custody over Begic’s death, and police are currently looking for a fourth. Mitchell is the only one who has been publicly identified up to this point; the other two apprehended suspects are said to be 15 and 16 years old. The other two teens may ultimately stand trial as adults, but that has not been decided yet.
