| by Sean Kelly

A police officer’s body cam caught the incredible moment when he and another officer rescued a man from a burning car.

On Christmas day, Destin, Florida officers Joseph Trimboli and Eric Keyes responded to a call about a traffic accident with injuries. When they arrived, the rear of the car was engulfed in flames and quickly spreading to the inside. They then spotted the driver inside with the door locked.

They attempted to instruct the man to get himself out, but he was unable to do so. Trimboli and Keyes then broke a window and began to pull him out. After a short time, they finally got the man out of the vehicle and on to the ground. The unbelievable video ends with emergency workers taking the driver away and firefighters extinguishing the flames.

The driver was brought to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation before being sent home.

Trimboli and Keyes were given Medal of Merit awards from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department for their heroism.
