Police Officer Shot In Ferguson, Missouri

A police officer from Ferguson, Missouri, was reportedly shot on Saturday night.

According to CNN, St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman informed the media that the officer was not killed in the incident.

The shooting took place at 10:30 p.m. eastern standard time, per Boston.com. Local news station KMOV reports that the officer was shot in the arm.

Very little is known about what happened.

Protests have been taking place in Ferguson ever since the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown in August. Tensions seemed to have cooled over the past few weeks, however, and it is unclear whether that has anything to do with what happened this evening. As of now, no connection has been made by authorities.
