| by Amanda Andrade-Rhoades

Police in Pacific Grove, California, said 18-year-old Victor Almanza-Martinez and two other people were involved in an armed robbery of a group of four people Dec. 30 at Lovers Point Park.

Authorities were able to nab Almanza-Martinez because he exchanged Snapchat information and took a selfie with one of the female victims before taking off in the car he allegedly stole from the group with his accomplices, KNTV reported.

Police said the selfie helped them find Almanza-Martinez, who has since been charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, violation of probation and gang enhancements. His bail has been set at $170,000 and he’s currently being held at the Monterey County Jail.

The two other suspects are at large and the vehicle they’re accused of stealing, a  2013 black Chrysler 200, is still missing.
