'Extremely Dangerous': Texas Police Find Woman Carrying Fully Loaded Handgun In Vagina

A Texas woman reportedly told police she had concealed a fully loaded handgun inside her vagina after being busted for drug possession.

Waco police pulled over a 1998 Toyota Land Rover Monday night shortly before 11:00 p.m. due to a traffic violation, KCEN-TV reported.

Authorities found that the driver, 30-year-old Gabriel Garcia, was in possession of 2.7 grams of methamphetamine, which he had hidden under his driver’s seat. Another 29.5 grams was discovered in a female passenger’s purse, along with a set of digital weighing scales.

The woman was identified as 31-year-old Ashley Cecilia Castaneda. Both Castaneda and Garcia were charged with possession of methamphetamine in a drug-free zone.

But that wasn’t all police found during their drug bust.

While being transported to prison, Castaneda told police that she had concealed a fully loaded Smith and Wesson .22 caliber Semi-automatic handgun inside her vagina.

A female officer searched Castaneda and confirmed that the suspect did in fact conceal the weapon inside her body cavity. The handgun had a round chambered and a full magazine of bullets, the Waco Tribune reported.

“It was a safety concern for the victim who had a loaded firearm inside her body,” Waco police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said. “Depending on a number of factors, that gun could have gone off by body movements or compression of the trigger.

“People have asked us, ‘Why are you even telling us this?’ The reason is because we want people to know this truly does happen.

“That was an extremely dangerous situation for everyone involved.”

Castaneda has also been charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon. She and Garcia are currently being held at McLennan County Jail on $31,000 and $10,000 bonds, respectively.
