Police Dispatchers Apparently Overhear Man Assaulting Mother, Girlfriend

Police officers in Oklahoma stopped potentially fatal attack after dispatchers overheard a man apparently assaulting his mother and girlfriend. 

Around 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 1, a dispatcher received a call from a residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and overheard a man yelling that he was “thinking of killing someone,” while allegedly assaulting his elderly mother and girlfriend. The man, identified as Douglas Wayne Brewer Jr., was also heard shouting, “I am killing you. Can you feel this?” reports KFOR.

When police arrived at the home, they found Brewer banging a woman’s head against the ground, reports Tulsa World. He attempted to flee the home, but was subdued with a stun gun.

Brewer, 37, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery, interfering with an emergency call, resisting arrest, domestic assault and battery and threatening a violent act.
