Police Arrest Woman Who Ate Cereal During 30-Mile Car Chase

An unidentified woman was allegedly driving erratically through Madison County, Ohio, before embarking on a 30-mile police chase that reached speeds of up to 100 mph -- all while eating a bowl of cereal.

On the night of Dec. 7, a Madison County deputy stopped the woman, who was eating cereal at the time, but she took off from the traffic stop, WCMH reports.

Although officers used stop-sticks, the chase ended only after the woman’s car began to break down and she tried to escape on foot.

The woman was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, but deputies said more charges are likely.

Eating cereal on the road is apparently far more common than one would think. In June, a cyclist in the United Kingdom caught a woman eating a bowl of cereal on the road while behind the wheel, The Telegraph reported. Though that woman wasn’t charged, footage of her breakfast escapade went viral.
