A new book, 'Mary's Mosaic: The CIA Conspiracy to Murder John F. Kennedy, Mary Pinchot Meyer, and Their Vision of World Peace,' by Peter Janney, claims that socialite Mary Pinchot Meyer was a mistress of President John F. Kennedy and was killed by the CIA because she got too close to the truth of the JFK assassination.

The book says that CIA operatives staged a shooting to make it look like Meyer died in violent sexual assault on October 12, 1964, near a Georgetown canal, nearly a year after the JFK assassination.

The book also claims that Meyer would bring marijuana and LSD to sexual encounters with President Kennedy and appealed to him to seek peaceful resolutions to foreign conflicts.

In the early 1960s, LSD was a legal drug.

Author Peter Janney claims that Meyer was murdered by the CIA, who he believes was behind the assassination of President Kennedy to stop him from preventing military escalations with the then Soviet Union.

In a 2001 interview, Meyer's ex-husband, Cord Meyer, who was a CIA agent, said "the same sons of b****es that killed John F. Kennedy" killed his ex-wife.
