The mugshots of an Oregon man who has been arrested numerous times over the last 14 years show the toll that age and drug addiction have taken on him.
Matthew Medlin, 32, was most recently arrested on Jan. 30. Around 1:09 p.m. that day, police were called to a railyard in Portland due to a report of a man climbing on trains, KPTV reported.
When officers arrived at the yard, they found Medlin jumping from the top of one railcar to the open bed of another. He reportedly refused to come down after police made contact with him and picked up pieces of metal and rocks to use as weapons. The man was high on methamphetamine and had reportedly been awake for 26 hours prior to the incident.
He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in a parole violation.

When officers tried to diffuse the situation and talk Medlin down from the railcar, he injected himself with more meth and began to behave even more erratically.
He was finally taken into custody after a four-hour standoff that reportedly lasted through a thunderstorm and a hailstorm. The man is currently being held in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of trespass, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct. His bail was set at $7,500.
This was not the first time Medlin has run afoul of the law.
The meth addict has been arrested countless times since 2002, according to the Daily Mail. His police booking photos show a transformation from a handsome, clean-shaven 18-year-old with short hair in 2002 to a much older-looking man with wild black hair and facial tattoos in his latest mugshot in 2016.

The photos show the man's appearance gradually deteriorating over time, possibly due to drug use. He is shown glaring at the camera with bruises and scrapes on his face in a mugshot from 2007, while the facial tattoos first appeared in photos from 2013.
That year, Medlin was reportedly jailed on charges of sex abuse, burglary and assault. He escaped from the Columbia River Correctional Facility in May 2014 with only six days left in his sentence.
About 10 hours after his escape, Medlin was spotted by police at a local Jack in the Box restaurant and re-arrested. He was charged with second-degree escape and taken back to prison.
The man's escape prompted Oregon's Department of Corrections to make a number of changes at the Columbia River facility, including fixing the video surveillance system and adding more barbed wire to the fence.
Medlin's most recent mugshot following the police stand-off shows his downhill spiral, with what appears to be large gashes on his face.
