Following the third arrest in relation to the brutal torture and murder of 3-year-old Scott McMillan, photos of the inside of the trailer where he was beaten and died have been released.
The photos were taken by investigators inside the trailer suspects Jillian Tait, 31, Gary Lee Fellenbaum, 23, and Amber Fellenbaum, 21, lived with Tait’s son Scott, and two other children.
One photo shows the mattress where Scott died, the whips that were reportedly used to beat him, and holes in the wall where allegedly Gary Lee is said to have hit the child’s head against repeatedly, reports The Daily Mail.
Another item found in the trailer was a bent curtain rod. Attorneys believe it was used to beat Scott during the weeks long torture he endured before his death.
Popular VideoThis judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:
Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan referred to Scott’s death as “an American horror story.”
"Little Scotty McMillan is dead. Over a three day period ... he was systematically tortured and beaten to death. He was punched in the face and in the stomach. He was scourged with a homemade whip. He was lashed with a metal rod. He was tied to a chair and beaten. He was tied upside down by his feet and beaten. His head was smashed through a wall,” OpposingViews previously reported Hogan said.
The torture and eventual death of Scott allegedly began because he refused to eat his breakfast.
“This is just evilness,” Hogan said. “It is an unspeakable act of depravity.”
Gary Lee and Jillian confessed to the murder during police questioning. All three suspects told authorities, “that Scott McMillan had been punched and beaten with blunt and sharp objects, whipped, taped to a chair with electrical tape and beaten, hung up by his feet and beaten, and suffered other acts of violence,” police said in affidavits.
Even as Gary Lee has confessed to Scott’s murder, his mother has spoken out saying she does not believe her son beat the child to death, and that Gary Lee is a “good kid,” reports LeHighValleyLive.
"I believe he's being railroaded," Paula Fellenbaum said. “He liked kids. He never had an issue. I don't understand it at all."
Hogan will be seeking the death penalty, as allowed.
