According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Department, Parangan pulled a gun and began shooting at Pastor Howell, who was apparently armed as well.

Pastor Howell returned fire and wounded Parangan, who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, noted ClickOrlando.com.

"There is a child care facility on the property at the church. It was not affected in any way by this isolated incident. We have contacted those parents and the majority of them have come to pick up their children," Osceola County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Twis Lizauain told WFTV.
