An Orange County woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI hours after posting a photo of her new Mercedes-Benz on Instagram (video below).
Aya Ibish, 22, was pulled over on Sept. 27 after a bicyclist told police that he was hit by a gray Mercedes, according to the Orange County Register. Ibish was given a sobriety test and subsequently arrested and charged with felony DUI causing injury and felony hit-and-run causing injury.
"The car had front-end damage on the driver and passenger side that was consistent with the bike accident," Sgt. Dan Miles said.
Popular VideoThis judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:
The bicyclist was struck shortly before 11 p.m. He was alert when police found him and was able to describe Ibish's vehicle.
"He suffered lacerations and possibly a lower leg fracture," Miles said.
Ibish later deleted her Instagram photo.
TomoNews, a website created by Taiwanese animators, has produced an animated reenactment of the alleged hit and run. The video has been viewed over 22,000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded on Sept. 29.
