Roberto Martinez-Marinero, 25, turned himself in to police after allegedly killing his mother, leaving his baby brother in a dumpster and throwing his other brother in a river.

The search for Martinez-Marinero began when his 11-month-old brother was found in a dumpster wearing only a diaper. His mother, Jesus Ismenia Marinero, was found dead in a ditch nearby.

Daily Mail reported that a resident of the Alpine Village Apartments heard the baby crying on Wednesday night and went out to check if an animal was stuck in the dumpster. Instead, he found the dirty child and called police. The baby was not injured.

The man who found the child explained his feelings, “Very disturbing, very upsetting and I couldn't believe what I saw.”

"I went and looked on the inside the dumpster and I seen a little hand with an empty water bottle moving,” he continued.

Martinez-Marinero confessed to the crimes on Thursday night after committing them on Wednesday. The crimes happened in Omaha, Nebraska.

Martinez-Marinero threw Josue Ramirez-Marinero, 5, off of a bridge and into the Elkhorn River. He was charged with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon.

Police are employing air, water and land searches to find the missing boy.

KETV reported that no other suspects are being considered in the crimes and the motives behind his actions are not clear.
