NYPD Searching For Black Men Involved In Hate Crime Against White Male

| by Kathryn Schroeder

A group of black men are wanted by the New York Police Department for an anti-white hate crime carried out on Staten Island, New York.

A 28-year-old white man was threatened by and called “white bread” and other insults by seven black men on June 19, police said. The black men punched and kicked the white male victim, reports New York Daily News, and hit him with a milk crate, a fluorescent light bulb, a bottle, and other garbage.

The victim was able to get away from the men with only minor wounds.

An investigation has been opened by the NYPD’s hate crimes task force. Two of the men were caught on surveillance camera footage, police said.

The following flyer was released on the NYPD Special Victims Unit’s task force Twitter account offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information related to the assault.
