A strange and grisly scene involving a shooting, drunk driving, and a fatal hit and run played out in Cleveland, Ohio early this morning.
Shamanique Bryant, 28, was intoxicated and driving recklessly westbound on Cleveland’s Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.com reported. Mattie J. Quellen Stubbs, 24, was in the passenger’s seat, while a man in the backseat was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen after being shot in a club earlier that night.
Bryant rear-ended a car in front of her in her 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, projecting Stubbs out the front seat.
Bryant continued to drive, stopping to perform CPR on the man in the back. She eventually returned to the scene of the accident—inadvertently running over Stubbs.

Stubbs was pronounced dead at 3 A.M. Police said it wasn’t clear whether she was still alive when she was run over.
Bryant and the man who had been shot—who had already left the club with Bryant by the time police got there to investigate the shooting—were taken to a medical center for treatment. The three people in the car Bryant rear-ended were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police reported that Bryant was arrested for aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of the accident, with the likely addition of charges for driving while intoxicated. She is due to appear in court on Monday, ABC 5 reported via the Associated Press.
