New York City Police Break Up Terror Plot

| by Mark Berman Opposing Views

New York City police say they have busted a terror plot that targeted police stations and military personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Multiple news reports say one man was arrested for attempting to make bombs in his Manhattan apartment. The New York Daily News called him "a Dominican with an anti-American grudge."

The New York Times quotes a law enforcement source who called this a "lone wolf scenario," but the man got his bomb-making instructions from al-Qaeda websites. Police say the man was identified though one of those sites after posting anti-American messages.

CNN reports he has been under police surveillance for more than two years.
