Surveillance cameras captured the assault of a Navy veteran in San Diego (video below), and now, some are now saying the attack was part of the knockout game.

According to reports, the 52-year-old veteran was riding his scooter after just getting off a trolley when a teenager came up behind him and hit him in his face, knocking him to the ground.

The teen proceeded to punch and kick the man while he was on the ground before fleeing the scene.

By the time officers arrived, the suspect was already gone. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, and as of the last report, police had yet to track down the suspect.

Inquisitr reports that a commenter on the CBS 8 website claims to know the victim.

“I personally know that 52-year-old man,” the comment reads. “His name is Frank. He has suffered a brain injury a few years ago. He has memory loss. He rides a scooter because he no longer can drive.”
