Mamura Nasirova, a nanny in Staten Island, New York, was recently caught on a hidden camera hitting the baby she was supposed to be caring for (video below).
Roman Mardakhaev, the mother of the 5-month-old baby girl, had grown suspicious of Nasirova and installed a video camera, which was hidden and synched up to a live feed in her office.
According to the Daily Mail, Nasirova smacked the infant in the face three times when she wouldn't drink out of a bottle. Nasirova then shook the girl in an infant seat before whacking the baby on the legs.
While the baby had redness and swelling on her body, Nasirova did not break any bones.
Mardakhaev rushed home and yelled at Nasirova on January 28.
The Mardakhaevs filed a police report on Feb. 1, and Nasirova was arrested two days later at the family's home.
Nasirova reportedly fought with police as they tried to arrest her.
Nasirova was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. She is being held at Rikers Island on a $1,000 bail.
Nasirova is an Uzbekistan-native and not a U.S. citizen.
