A Florida mother of seven was arrested Wednesday for smoking crack and drinking alcohol while caring for her 1-month-old daughter.

Police caught Bobbre Williams, 37, smoking the drug and drinking in front of a convenience store in Daytona Beach while holding her infant, reports Daily Mail. A stranger says she noticed the woman early in the morning sitting on a sidewalk and offered her a place to stay. Williams allegedly asked her if she could give her crack-cocaine instead, which prompted the unidentified woman to call the Department of Children and Families hotline.

The woman was one of two witnesses who say they saw the mom taking drugs while with her baby.

Officers arrived to arrest Williams at 3:20 a.m. She reportedly confessed to them that she had been breastfeeding her child while high on crack. When they tried to take her daughter away from her, she allegedly put up a fight and held onto her baby.

The newborn was eventually taken to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. The results of her examination are unknown, but police say the baby was gasping for air when they held her.

Cops found cocaine inside of Williams’ diaper bag. She has been charged with aggravated child abuse, battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of cocaine and child neglect. This isn’t the first time the mom has been in trouble with the law – she reportedly has racked up several drug and child abuse charges since 2003 and was on probation when she was arrested Wednesday.

Williams’ seven children were taken away from her and are with the DCF.
