| by Michael Allen

Jennifer Vargas was arrested by the FBI on Wednesday after she allegedly tried to tear off her 6-year-old son's scrotum and then superglue the damaged tissue back on.

Vargas is married to an Army serviceman and lives at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, where the assault reportedly took place.

According to the court affidavit, the child's father came home and found his son crying on Sept. 27. The boy had blood on his underpants and an injury to his scrotum (video below).

The dad took his son to the San Antonio Military Medical Center where he underwent surgery to repair the damage, reports News 4 San Antonio.

Vargas reportedly told FBI agents that she was angry with her son, grabbed him by the scrotum and pulled so hard that parts of his genitals were torn off.

“She applied superglue to the [boy's] scrotum until the bleeding stopped, stuffed his underwear with paper towels, and then told him to go to bed,” claims the court affidavit. “Vargas did not seek any type of medical treatment for the child.”

Vargas was charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury and could spend up to 10 years in jail if convicted, notes the Houston Chronicle.

She will be held without bail until a hearing next Monday.

The child is recovering and is in his father's custody.
