Mom Caught In Viral Indiana Wal-Mart Brawl Blames Fight On Other Woman Using Racial Slur (Video)

| by Dominic Kelly

A mom caught on camera fighting another woman in an Indiana Wal-Mart store is speaking out about the viral video, blaming the fight on the other woman’s use of a racial slur.

Amber Stephenson, the mom seen fighting in the Beech Grove, Indiana, store as her young son tried to jump in on the action, claims the other woman in the fight used a racial slur towards a Wal-Mart employee as she rode around on a motorized shopping cart.

Stephenson claims she then confronted the woman for using the N-word, ultimately prompting the fight that was caught on camera.

“(The woman) was sitting there yelling at an employee at Wal-Mart, and she was telling her that she was a (expletive) and that she was going to get out of the chair and whoop her (expletive),” Stephenson told WZPL, reports NY Daily News.

While the other woman has yet to share her side of the story, Stephenson claims she was just trying to protect the Wal-Mart employee.

The video quickly went viral after being posted online, and while many expressed shock over the insane fight that went down in the store, most were even more outraged that Stephenson allowed her young son to beat on the other woman as the fight proceeded.

WARNING: Videos contain profanity and strong language.

“My son takes martial arts classes,” Stephenson said. “He’s been going to the gym for several years with his father. I mean, he’s been in the gym for a long time. He got a little crazy. I don’t have to worry about him ever being bullied.”

No arrests were made following the fight, but Wal-Mart says it has permanently banned the two women from the store, calling the behavior “completely unacceptable.”

WXIN reports that 472 arrests have been made at the same Beech Grove Wal-Mart store since February 2014, and Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley says the fight, among all the other incidences, shines a bad light on the store.

“I think it’s disgusting and it sure sheds a poor light on Wal-Mart,” Buckley said. “I’m pretty disappointed in them.”

Despite heavy criticism, Stephenson defends herself and her parenting methods.

“My son is raised perfectly right,” Stephenson said in response to outrage that she allowed her son to get involved in the fight. “My son is perfectly well taken care of.”
