Man Takes Revenge on Wrong Child After Son Hurt in Football Game

| by Michael Allen

Mark Colton reportedly hit a 13-year-old boy, knocking him unconscious, after his son was elbowed in the face during a football game in Lakeside, Ore.

According to KCBY, Colton's 10-year-old son was playing football with some boys at a city park in October, when he got injured.

The 10 year old went back home and told his dad, who went to the field and wanted to know which boy had elbowed his son, says the Coos County Sheriff's Department.

An unidentified 13-year-old boy, who did not elbow the 10 year old, spoke up. Colton then allegedly hit the 13 year old in the head, knocking him unconscious.

The boy was taken to a local hospital and treated for a concussion, reports the Associated Press.

This past Saturday, Coos County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Colton and charged him with second degree assault.

Colton was locked up in Coos County Jail and held on $25,000 bail, but there is no word as to whether or not he has bailed out.
