A Florida man has been sentenced to five life terms in prison for multiple crimes of sexual abuse against two young girls. The man, 42-year-old Earnest Demetrus Bolton, was charged with three counts of sexual battery, one count of attempted sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation, News4Jax reports.
Allegations of Bolton’s abuse were initially revealed to authorities in January of 2013. Bolton was accused of sexually abusing a girl multiple times over the course of several years. The abuse allegedly began when the girl was 6 years old. She is now 11.

According to The Florida Times-Union, the police investigation of Bolton also found that he had abused another victim on multiple occasions. Those instances of abuse began when the victim was 5 years old. She is now 17.
Bolton was found guilty of abuse in October, and it was expected that he would face mandatory life in prison. His sentencing occurred in late November in the fourth judicial circuit of Florida. According to Florida’s Office of the State Attorney, two of Bolton’s life sentences will run consecutively, and the rest will run concurrently.
