Man Points Gun at Girl Scout for Selling Cookies at His Door (Video)

John Dodrill was arrested on Sunday in Temecula, Calif. for allegedly pointing a gun at a Girl Scout who knocked on his door while selling cookies.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the girl's father called police after he saw Dodrill point the gun at his daughter (video below).

A Riverside County Sheriff’s office press release says officers took Dodrill into custody and seized his gun.

Authorities say it's not clear why Dodrill allegedly pulled his gun, but a pro-life organization recently called for a boycott of Girl Scouts cookies after falsely accusing the Girl Scouts of "endorsing" Texas State. Sen. Wendy Davis (D) and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who are both pro-choice.

The boycott was started by John Pisciotta, head of a small pro-life group in Waco, Texas.

Pisciotta is angry that the Girl Scouts tweeted a link to a Huffington Post article about ladies who should be “women of the year," which included Beyonce, Malala Yousafzai and Davis.

Pisciotta is also upset that the Girl Scouts' Facebook page linked to an article in The Washington Post that mentioned Sebelius in a favorable light.
