A Tennessee man who was naked from the waist down and sleeping in a McDonald’s parking lot was arrested Saturday after he told police his car contained a meth lab.

Murfreesboro police found Tracy M. Strawn, 39, sleeping in his vehicle, when they performed a welfare check early Saturday. When Officer Randell Gaines knocked on the car window, he noticed Strawn was half naked.

“Mr. Strawn had his penis wrapped in his shirt, but his buttocks were exposed,” Gaines wrote in the arrest report.

He placed Strawn under arrest for indecent exposure and planned to inventory his car.

“Before I did my inventory, I asked Mr. Strawn if there was anything in the vehicle that I needed to worry about doing me bodily harm,” Gaines wrote. “Mr. Strawn then stated ‘There might be a meth lab in my car.’”

When he opened the front passenger down a “gasser bottle” fell out, Daily News Journal reported. Strawn had an active meth lab in the vehicle and admitted to cooking meth there.

Gaines called his supervisor and a methamphetamine cleaning crew was sent to the scene.

Strawn was also found with “a quantity of meth in his possession” and small, plastic baggies consistent with those used in drug sales.

Strawn was charged with initiation of methamphetamine, felony possession of a schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to indecent exposure.

Gaines said Strawn was arrested within 1,000 yards of an elementary school, which could enhance the charges.

Strawn is being held at Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $42,000 bail and is schedule to appear in court April 9.
