A Florida man high on methamphetamines was arrested this month for dragging his 11-year-old son out of bed in the middle of the night to perform an exorcism on him in the woods.
Bryan Adams, 31, pulled his son out of bed at 3 am on Jan. 16.
“You are the demon, you are the demon,” Adams said, according to Okeechobee County police. “I know what I must do with you.”
Officers, including a K9, found Adams and the boy on the ground in thick, soggy brush. Adams reportedly bolted. His son was uninjured.

During the police confrontation, he repeatedly said, “I have to stop the demons. I have to do it.”
Police reported Adams showed “no compliance or showing of pain and abnormal strength.”
“I then observed Bryan getting up off the ground and lunging at Deputy Hazy. Bryan then turned around and began punching me in the chest with both hands,” Deputy Leland Schoonmaker. “One wrist did have a handcuff on it and he was swinging it around as he was punching me.”
When he punched the K9 dog named Nero, officers Tasered him.

“I could see the bottom half of Bryan and K-9 Nero — Bryan was appeared to be lying on his back,” Deputy Mark Margerum said. “Bryan was punching K-9 Nero in the left side of K-9 Nero’s head while K-9 Nero was holding Bryan’s right leg with his mouth.”
The Taser didn’t slow him down. He continued to hit Nero in the head.
Margerum finaly detained the suspect when he “punched Bryan in the face approximately five times with [his] right hand.”
Adams was charged with child abuse without great bodily harm, use of a deadly weapon/battery on a police K-9, three counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, five counts of resisting a law enforcement officer with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer and escape.
He is being held on $170,000 bond. He was already on probation during his arrest after being found guilty of criminal mischief in 2013.
Earlier in the day, Adams’ ex-wife said he showed up at her work demanding her car keys and threatening to take their kids, Daily Mail reported. His ex says she left him because of his heavy crystal meth use.
She said he also mentioned seeing demons.
