Man Goes on Shooting Rampage After Being Denied a Triple Whopper (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Brandon Hawkins allegedly went on a shooting rampage after his girlfriend, Jamie Young, refused to get him a hamburger at a Burger King in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

On Tuesday night, Hawkins had agreed to meet Young at the Burger King where Young was to buy him a Triple Whopper and, in exchange, Hawkins would allow Young's daughter to use his laptop, reports CBS 12 (video below).

However, once at the Burger King, Hawkins and Young started to argue about their relationship, according to the police report.

Hawkins told Port St. Lucie police that he was angry about not getting his Triple Whopper, so he later drove to Young's house where he allegedly put a gun to the head of Young's daughter.

Young and her 7-year-old son ran out of the house to get help and Hawkins allegedly fired shots at them. Young hid in a neighbor's home, but her son was shot in the yard.

Minutes later, Young went back to her home where she found her step-father Levi Williams bleeding from his head.

Williams died from several gun shot wounds, while the boy was rushed to a hospital with a gun wound in his abdomen.

Hawkins was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday while hiding at another girlfriend's home in Tradition, Fla.

According to TCPalm.com, Hawkins was "charged with one count of first-degree premeditated murder, two counts of attempted first-degree premeditated murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill."

Hawkins is being held in jail without bond.

"The only thing [Hawkins] had remorse for is the shooting of the 7-year-old. In reference to Mr. Williams and everything else he did, he felt this was righteous... he felt justified," stated Port St. Lucie Lt. Scott Beck.
