Denver Police are looking for a man claiming to be a Marine, who has stolen several giant bins of toys that are being gathered as part of Toys for Tots, a nationwide program that’s run by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Local spokesman Gunnary Sgt. David Bull told CBS Denver that the suspect is a black male who is between 40 and 50 years old, and calls himself 'Gunnary Sgt. Mix.'

Police believe the man has gone to multiple stores and dropoff locations in Boulder, Denver and Aurora, where he has pretended to be the official Toys for Tots pickup person.

Sgt. Bull said the Toys for Tots' real pickup personnel come to the stores in Toys for Tots shirts and have credentials that they show.
