A man who claims he is a key witness to the Natalee Holloway disappearance case wants to world to know his side of the story.

Jurrien de Jong recently told Inside Edition that he knows what happened to Natalee Holloway the night she disappeared.

The case occurred almost a decade ago and revolved around the disappearance of then 18-year-old Natalee Holloway while she was on a graduation trip to Aruba.

Now, almost 10 years later, de Jong has come forth to tell his story.

“I saw Natalee Holloway on the last night she was alive,” de Jong said. “I was the eyewitness.”

He claims that he saw the main witness in the case, Joran Van Der Sloot, with Holloway’s body the night she was seen last, according to Inside Edition.

“I saw that Joran was chasing Natalee into a small building under construction,” he said. “In about 5 minutes, he came out with Natalee in his arms and slammed the body of Natalee on the floor, and then he made an opening in a crawl space.

“I knew she was dead,” he added.

De Jong claims that he did not contact the authorities due to some illicit activities he was involved in when he first witnessed Van Der Sloot with the girl.

He claims that he has since decided to come forward after seeing a television report in which Van Der Sloot confessed to the murder and told the investigation that Natalee’s body was in the sea.

De Jong says that this is a lie.

He is now making a trip to Aruba along with Natalee’s father, Dave Holloway, and a private investigator to follow this new lead on her disappearance.
