Man Chews Through Police Car Seat Belt To Avoid Missing Son's Birthday Party

A Chicago man arrested for drug possession was so determined to be at his son’s birthday party that he chewed through the seat belt of a police car.

According to reports, 33-year-old Lashon Stuckey was arrested on Monday after selling $30 worth of heroin and being busted with several additional bags of the drug.

While in a squad car, Stuckey began chewing through the seat belt to try and escape. He later informed officers that it was his son’s birthday and he didn’t want to miss the celebration. 

Stuckey was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal damage to property. He appeared in bond court on Tuesday, where a judge reportedly ordered him held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
