Man Breaks into Denver Home, Takes Selfie on Woman's Phone, Leaves

The man behind the selfie: Denver police are after a local criminal who broke into a woman’s house one night, took a picture of himself on her cell phone, and then left.

The woman had no notion of the unsettling invasion of privacy until the next day, when she found the leering selfie on her phone.

She had been putting her kids to bed at 9:20 p.m. on January 29, according to police, when the man entered her home and took the snapshot.

Neighbors said they recognized the man in the phot, who The Blaze points out resembles “Breaking Bad’s” Walter White.

“And he looks familiar to me, everybody else says they didn’t see him but he looks familiar to me, I know I’ve seen him before,” neighbor Richard Gardner told CBS 4.

"He doesn’t have glasses when you normally see him walking down the street. Maybe they’re a disguise. I don’t know,” said Gardner of the man's horn-rimmed specs.

Gardner said his family avoids the neighborhood park, a hangout for neighborhood creeps.

“We don’t take the kids up there either. There’s just too many strange people up there anymore,” said Gardner.

Denver police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez also confirmed that the man was a familiar face around the neighborhood, the Denver Post reports.

Finding him, then, shouldn't prove too difficult. The police are offering $2,000 for information leading to the perpetrator’s arrest.
