"All your shiny AR's your high powered .308 rifles, your 50,000 rounds of ammo are all going to be ours," says Smith in the episode.

According to KIRO, Smith leads a survivalist group "Spartan Survival," which he started in 2005 to train people for various doomsday scenarios (video below).

“His stated plan was not to defend himself but to use weapons he illegally possessed, to rob his neighbors at gunpoint,” Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor said in a statement. “Did he really think that this wouldn’t attract our attention?”

Smith was arrested in Bonney Lake, Wash. where he had moved to since filming the episode in March 2013.

His prior convictions included theft and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
