Chekingson Sinclair allegedly shot and killed his pregnant wife Latwassa Argrett in the back of the head in their Port St. Lucie, Florida, home on Sunday.
Sinclair reportedly called the Port St. Lucie Police Department and said the shooting stemmed over a domestic issue.
According to WPBF, Sinclair was charged with first-degree murder, murder of an unborn child and evidence tampering (video below).
According to the police report, Sinclair, 21, claimed that he and Argrett, 24, argued over some alleged text messages from Argrett's ex-boyfriend.
Sinclair reportedly claimed Argrett chased him with a knife and that he retrieved a gun from underneath a chair and shot her in self-defense.

However, Argrett was shot in the back of the head and Sinclair waited three hours to call the police, noted the Palm Beach Post.
Police believe that Sinclair may have planted the knife near Argrett to create the illusion of self-defense.
